Christmas 1922, a bitter wind blows across the snowy countryside amongst the dark of night, and the candles flicker brightly in the distance at an old coaching inn. Lord & Lady Holmes have acquired the Coaching Inn for the Christmas period to celebrate their recent return from India and have invited their friends & companions to celebrate in the festivities.
This jovial evening of celebrations takes an unexpected turn, however, as Inspector Rutherford arrives to advise a body has been discovered nearby, and foul play is at hand!
Before the midnight oil burns out, Inspector Rutherford calls on the assistance of the attending guests to help catch the murderer in time.
